Virtual Hands-On Exam FAQs

  • If I want to take the Installation hands-on exam only and not take the virtual class training, what is the process?

Please contact credentialing@bicsi.org to schedule your installation hands-on exam as a walk-in.  In addition to the exam application fee, there is a $50 scheduling fee for all walk-ins.  PLEASE NOTE: only BICSI Installer 1 (INST1®) and BICSI Installer 2, Copper (INSTC®) are currently available virtually.

  • Is the exam fee included in the virtual classroom training course?

The exam fee is not included in the course. An exam application must be completed and submitted online, and the exam fee is paid when the application is submitted.

  • Are Pearson VUE Testing Sites open for me to take the written part of my credentialing exam?

Most Pearson VUE testing sites are currently open, depending on what stage of shut down the location is in. There is also an at-home testing option available, OnVUE, that may be more convenient. Please visit the Pearson VUE Testing Page for information on both options and their requirements.
