ICT Installer 2, Fiber Training
COURSE DESCRIPTION
IN250: BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber Training is
a hands-on/application-focused course that prepares installers to pull,
terminate, splice, and test fiber cabling as part of an information and
communications technology (ICT) system. The course includes topics on fiber
transmission principles and general safety practices associated with working
with fiber cabling. A significant amount of course time is spent on BICSI best
practices for installing, terminating, splicing, and testing fiber cable as
outlined in the 8th edition of the Information Technology Systems Installation
Methods Manual (ITSIMM).

- Personal or prescription safety glasses
PLEASE NOTE:Each student must purchase
the ITSIMM and EXAM separately.
Pre-work Recommendations
- Read the ITSIMM before coming to class
and/or taking the exam. For students who plan to take the exam, examinees
should spend at least 50 hours studying the ITSIMM.
