Locating and Sizing Telecom Spaces in Healthcare Facilities

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The ever-changing landscape of hospital technology and reconfiguring of spaces within healthcare facilities warrants a closer look at the use standards in the design process. The course will cover design specifications based on BICSI standards and best practices, the common types of telecommunications distribution spaces in healthcare facilities.  Also best practice in identifying optimum locations for telecommunications spaces and addressing general sizing guidelines.

Applying BICS’s recommendations and requirements when designing, building, and maintaining rooms that support ICT systems within healthcare facilities.

This presentation was originally delivered as part of the February 2023 BICSI Conference.
