Evolution of Copper Cabling: How New Systems for Intelligent Buildings Are Changing Our Infrastructure Designs

In this presentation, Gautier Humbert, RCDD, discusses how the communications infrastructure is changing. The race to higher speeds in copper applications seems to end. But instead of signaling the end of copper, it’s only a conversion to address a far larger market. The new needs for IoT, and the conversion of power supply toward a DC type will change what’s expected of our environment, and therefore, require a new type of infrastructure.

This class was originally presented at the BICSI EMEA 2020 Conference.
