About this Event

Are You Ready for the Internet of Things (IoT) to Change Our Buildings?

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Internet of Things (IoT) will completely alter how our buildings operate. Are we ready? Operational technology (OT) is the core of our buildings. When it’s smart, it’s a lot like IT. But IT and OT are not the same, and the difference isn’t in cabling. It’s in the stakeholders, lifecycles, security, bandwidth, and skillsets. Learn about the distinctions between IT and OT, how to effectively deploy them, and why you should care about the growth of IoT.

Pook-Ping Yao, the CEO of Optigo Networks, discussed all of this and more at the BICSI 2018 Winter Conference in San Antonio, TX.

Why you should attend?

Learn how the data collected by the Internet of Things (IoT) will change how we operate, maintain, and work inside commercial buildings
