Public Input Requested on N1 Installation Practices Draft
Tampa, Fla., 31 July 2026 – BICSI Standards Program members and other interested parties are invited to review the final workgroup draft of N1, Installation Practices for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for Structured Cabling and Related Cabling Infrastructure.
The document is being developed as a revision of ANSI/BICSI N1-2019 and has been issued for public input through ANSI’s Standards Action. The draft addresses installation practices for structured cabling and related cabling infrastructure supporting ICT systems.
Public review is an important part of the consensus standards-development process. It provides interested parties, including those outside the ICT Installations Workgroup, with an opportunity to examine the proposed document and submit change request comments for consideration.
Those outside the ICT Installations Workgroup who are interested in reviewing the draft may contact publications@bicsi.org to request an electronic copy and instructions for submitting change request comments.
All change request comments are due on or before 21 September 2026.
The draft is provided for review only and should not be shared or redistributed. Colleagues and other interested parties should request their own electronic copy directly from BICSI.
