BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber® (INSTF®)
Decide if INSTF Is Right for You
INSTF is designed for telecommunications cabling installers who work with optical fiber systems and are ready to validate more advanced installation knowledge and skills. The certification recognizes the ability to install, terminate, splice, test, and troubleshoot optical fiber cabling.
Optical fiber infrastructure requires precision at every stage of installation. Cable handling, pathway preparation, termination, splicing, testing, and documentation can directly affect system performance and reliability. INSTF validates the knowledge and practical skills needed to complete this work according to accepted industry practices.
INSTF may be appropriate for installation professionals who perform or support optical fiber cabling work. It is also suited for experienced telecommunications installers preparing to take on more advanced optical fiber installation responsibilities.
