BICSI Cancellation Policies

Plans change, but expectations should stay clear. BICSI’s policies provide consistent, clearly defined guidelines so you know what to expect across every program.

General Policies on Orders and Purchases

Every purchase made supports BICSI’s mission of advancing the information and communications technology (ICT) profession for a global community of members, credential holders, contractors, business owners, industry professionals, and more. BICSI will make every effort to support individuals and organizations requesting changes to orders purchased in accordance with the policies outlined below.

BICSI stands behind its goods and services and strives to ensure every purchase is satisfactory. Cancellation, transfer, substitution, and refund eligibility is determined by the policy that applies to the specific product or service purchased. Products or services identified as nonrefundable, nontransferable, or otherwise restricted are subject to those stated terms.

Requests for eligible order changes or refunds must be submitted in writing to the appropriate contact listed in the applicable policy. When a policy allows review based on special circumstances, requests must be submitted to the Customer Care team at bicsi@bicsi.org within 30 days of purchase. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with a decision provided within 10 business days.

Below is a complete list of BICSI policies and procedures by product or service.  Some products and/or services require requests for cancellation, transfer, substitution, and/or refund to be submitted in writing via a specific email and/or fax.

If additional support is needed or questions remain, contact BICSI Customer Care at +1 813.979.1991 or 800.242.7405 (USA & Canada toll-free) Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, or email us at bicsi@bicsi.org.  All emails receive a response within 72 business hours.

BICSI Conferences & Events

  • If cancellation of a conference registration is necessary, written notice must be submitted to the BICSI Meeting Services department at registration@bicsi.org and/or ConferenceDept@bicsi.org.

Cancellation fees and/or forfeiture of funds may apply depending on the date of cancellation. Refer to the dedicated event page for detailed information and specific cancellation cutoff dates.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the cutoff date. This includes, but is not limited to, failure to attend the conference and/or masterclass because of illness; alteration or rescheduling of the conference by BICSI; events beyond the parties’ reasonable control, such as travel disruptions, natural disasters or weather emergencies, civil unrest, epidemics, public health emergencies (declared or undeclared), or acts of terrorism. For cancellations received after the cutoff date with an outstanding balance, the registration amount remains due in full.

Approved conference refunds will be issued within 30 business days and returned to the original form of payment.

Canceling a conference registration does not automatically cancel hotel or travel arrangements. Attendees are responsible for canceling their own reservations.

  • If cancellation of a registration is necessary, written notice must be submitted to the BICSI Meeting Services department at ConferenceDept@bicsi.org at least 48 hours prior to the start of the Virtual ICT (vICT) Forum. Cancellations received after this cutoff date are nonrefundable.
  • Refer to individual conference websites and conference cancellation policies for any BICSI event or BICSI Endorsed Event.

Training

  • Occasionally, BICSI may cancel a class. If a class is canceled, all registered attendees will be notified by email and may choose to transfer to a future class at a different location or receive a full refund of registration fees.

BICSI recommends that nonrefundable travel arrangements for in-person classes not be made until 30 days prior to the scheduled start date. BICSI will make every effort to finalize class cancellation or rescheduling no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled start date. If an in-person class is canceled within 30 days of the start date, BICSI will reimburse attendees for any change fees related to hotel and airfare. Reimbursement requires submission of proof of expenses incurred. If an in-person class is canceled more than 30 days prior to the scheduled start date, BICSI is unable to reimburse or cover travel-related expenses, including but not limited to hotel and airfare. For questions regarding a class, contact BICSI at 800.242.7405 (USA and Canada toll-free) or +1 813.979.1991, or email bicsi@bicsi.org.
