Pearson VUE is the exam delivery provider of BICSI Exams.  They are the leader in computer-based testing, with testing centers located globally.

You now have two test delivery options for your BICSI exam through Pearson VUE.

OPTION ONE: Pearson VUE Testing Centers

(Available for candidates located
near a testing center)

Testing is completed at a secure Pearson VUE Testing center.

OPTION TWO: Pearson VUE OnVUE Testing

(Candidates must reside in the USA and Canada
(excluding Quebec)

Testing is done at your own home with a live proctor monitoring through a webcam.

Pearson VUE Testing FAQs

  • What is Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring?

    BICSI now offers online proctoring through OnVUE online exam delivery system by Pearson VUE. The process uses live monitoring with enhanced security features allowing you to take the exam at your convenience.

  • Is online proctoring available worldwide for all exam types?

    The OnVUE proctoring is limited by geographic location. Candidates must reside in the USA and Canada (excluding Quebec). BICSI is committed to making our certifications accessible and available to a broad audience. We continue to evaluate testing options for all geographic locations. We will share updates with our worldwide network once they become available.

  • Must I use the online proctoring?

    This online option is not a replacement, but an additional test delivery option to complement the regular Pearson VUE Test Centers. The delivery platform is the exact same exam experience, regardless of which delivery method you prefer.

  • Is the online proctoring available on-demand?

    This online option is available 24/7/365 for scheduling and taking online proctored exams, subject to Proctor availability.

  • Is there an extra charge for online proctoring?

    No. The application and exam fee is the same whether you choose to take your exam at a test center or online.

  • Are there any requirements I must meet to use OnVUE?

    Before you register for an online exam, please make sure to:

    1. Complete the required system check on the same computer and location from where you plan to take the exam.

    2. Confirm that your ID is compliant with the BICSI  Certification Handbook and that your legal name used in your BICSI profile exactly matches your official identification.

    3. Review the technical, system, environment and testing protocol requirements at https://home.pearsonvue.com/bicsi/onvue.
  • When will I receive my test results at a testing center or with OnVUE?

    You will receive your results immediately following your exam at a Pearson VUE testing center.  With OnVUE, you will not receive an immediate result with a printed score report. You will get an email within 24-48 hours from Pearson VUE when your web-based results report is available.
