Learn about the magic that allows users at remote sites to access a local area network! This course introduces the basic definitions and terms of remote access technologies. From a vendor neutral standpoint, students learn about the software, hardware, and methodologies that are used to seamlessly get the remote user onto an organization’s local area network. Finally, relevant standards pertinent to the topic are covered. 
 
Topics include: Remote Access Components: Remote Stations, Remote Station Software, Remote Servers, Remote Access Operations: Dial-Up remote access, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Remote Access Standards. 

To earn continuing education credits (CECs) for this course, you must pass the online quiz included in the course fee. Once you have registered, you have 60 days to access the course and pass the online quiz. You must score an 80% or higher to pass. You may take the quiz as many times as necessary (within the 60 days) to pass the online quiz. Once you have taken the quiz and passed it, you will no longer be able to access the course.
