Twisted AV

COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this masterclass, Eric Marshall discusses how twisted-pair category cabling can be used in AV. He also gives advice on how to start doing AV and how to look at generic AV designs using mostly twisted-pair cabling. He gives a real-world example—Piedmont High School Theater, which was converted to all category cabling, fiber, and some speaker cabling.

This class was originally presented at the BICSI 2021 Fall Conference.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Eric is the owner of E.R.I.C. Low Voltage Services in Modesto, California. He has been designing and commissioning converged systems since 2004. In addition to presenting at several BICSI conferences and other opportunities around the United States, Eric has worked directly with contractors and manufacturers to help them learn how to begin doing converged systems and generate more business. He supports the companies by doing E – Engineering, R – Representing, I – Instructing, and C – Commissioning. Eric holds BICSI’s RCDD, NTS, and TECH credentials.
