Subject Matter Experts Needed
Version 8 of the Installation & Technician Exams

If you hold a BICSI Installer and/or Technician credential, BICSI needs your expertise.  We are seeking subject matter experts (SMEs) to help write exam items for the v8 Installation and Technician exams.

 

The activities and time commitment will consist of the following:

 

  • Item Writing Training Pt 1 (Webinar 2 hrs.) Monday April 5, 2021 @ 12:00 – 2:00 PM EST
  • Item Writing Training Pt 2 (Webinar 1 hr.) Monday April 19, 2021 @ 1:00 – 2:00 PM EST
  • Writing 20-30 items for the exam (remote; 8-10 hours) April 26 – July 30, 2021
  • Reviewing other SME item writers’ questions (remote 3-6 hrs.) April 26 – July 30, 2021
  • Check Point Webinars (30 min. every other week) Starting Friday, April 30 – July 30, 2021 @ 1 PM EST
  • Item Writing Scrub (2 hrs. each) Every Monday and Friday Starting August 16, 2021 – October 8, 2021 @ 1:00 – 3:00 PM EST *Item Writing Scrub is not a required commitment, a small subgroup will be selected.

    The exam item writing is vital in the development of the Installation and Technician exams that will ensure future Installers and Technician credential holders meet industry standards.
