  • When is the 2020 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition?

The Fall Conference & Exhibition will be held from Sunday, 27 September, through Thursday, 1 October as a virtual event. The Pre-Conference Masterclasses will also be available for the virtual event on Sunday and Monday. The exhibit hall will be open Tuesday through Thursday. The timing for all session will be Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).

                

  • Do I need to register to attend the 2020 BICSI FALL Virtual Conference & Exhibition?

Yes, you will need to register for the 2020 BICSI Fall Virtual Conference & Exhibition to receive a unique username and login and enjoy all Virtual Conference & Exhibition features.

 

  • Why is there a registration fee to attend a virtual conference?
    • It’s the same conference with all the same benefits short of the in-person interaction, but live interaction is still available. This includes keynotes, education sessions, CECs, conference credit, exhibition, networking, etc. During the live event (29 Sep – 1 Oct), there will be networking/interaction opportunities, including individual video chats with exhibitors.
    • While at the in-person conference, you normally have to choose between concurrent sessions.  With our virtual conference, you’ll have up to 30 days after the conference to go back into the platform to view all educational sessions.  This way, you won’t miss a thing!
    • Much like we would lease an in-person venue (e.g., a physical building), we have leased a proven virtual event venue platform that will allow you to engage as much or as little as you want with all aspects of the conference.  One new feature available through an online platform is the ability for you to earn points; the more you engage online the more points your receive. The highest point earners will show up on the Leaderboard and qualify to earn prizes, similar to the in-person conferences.
    • Our BICSI Staff are all helping to provide the best virtual experience possible. We all look forward to seeing you online in September!

Registration is open at the Early Bird Rate through 31 July. Virtual registration at the Regular Rate will run 1 August – 25 September. Virtual Registration at the On-Site Rate will be available beginning 27 September.

 

The registration fee does not include admittance to the Pre-Conference Training Courses or Pre-Conference Masterclasses.

                

 

  • How do I sign up for the free registration that comes with my company’s corporate membership?

  • How do I register if I have a credit from a previous conference cancellation?

    • How do I change information on my registration?

    • What is the difference between a Pre-Conference Masterclass and the concurrent sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday?

    The pre-conference masterclasses are three to twelve hours in length and are not included in the cost of the registration fee. Individuals can earn additional CECs by registering and paying for the masterclasses. 

     

    The concurrent sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday are one-hour sessions that are included with the conference registration fee. Individuals do not need to select the concurrent sessions they wish to attend.

       

        • What are the Pre-Conference Masterclass registration rates?

        A full list of descriptions and costs for each masterclass can be found on the conference schedule. You may register for any of these masterclasses while registering for the conference. If you would like to add a masterclass to your current registration, please click here and select Pre-Cons only and then select the masterclass(es) of your choice. 

         

              • Can I cancel my conference registration?

              If cancellation of your Fall Conference registration is necessary, you must send written notice  (e-mail is acceptable) to the BICSI Meeting Services Department at conferencedept@bicsi.org. Registration cancellations must be received in writing by Friday, 21 August 2020 to avoid a $99 cancellation fee.

               

              A Fall Conference attendee may substitute another person at no additional charge. The substitution request must be received by 3 p.m. on Thursday, 24 September.

              • Do you offer special registration for members of the press?

              If you would like to be considered to receive an invitation, please send your name, publication and contact information to the BICSI Marketing Department at press@bicsi.org.

                              

              • Will there be courses offered at the conference?

              BICSI courses will be held virtually before the 2020 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition. Click here for a list of courses that will be offered.

                              

              • How many CECs will I earn at the conference?

              Click here to view a complete list of CECs earned, per credential by attending the Virtual Fall Conference. Attendance at the 2020 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition fulfills the conference attendance requirement for RCDD renewal.

              • Am I able to just attend the Virtual Exhibit Hall?

              Yes, you can register as a virtual exhibit hall visitor at no charge.  This will allow you access to the exhibit hall to view exhibit booths, have live chats with exhibitors, and gather information and files in a swag bag.   

               

              A swag bag is a virtual briefcase where you can save documents from a booth. You can access files in your Swag Bag for 2 weeks after the event and email them to yourself or others.

               

              • Will I be able to take away information or brochures from the event?

              Yes, you will be provided a virtual Swag Bag where you can save documents from a booth. You can access files in your Swag Bag for 2 weeks after the event and email them to yourself or other.

               

              • What is a Wish List?

              While you are browsing the show, items of interest can be saved to your Wish List.

               

              TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS & QUESTIONS

              • Do I need to download or install any software?

              No, it is all hosted online on your browser.  You will only need access to the internet.

               

              • Which browser is best for video streaming?

              We recommend Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

               

              • What can I do to improve my video streaming quality?

              Good internet connectivity will ensure high quality video streaming.

               

              • Can I login using my phone or tablet?

              Yes.

               

              • Can I test my system before the event?

              Yes, you will be provided login credentials to test the system and get familiar with the interface.

               

              • How do I log in on day-of?

              Your login details will be emailed to you ahead of the event. You can use these details to access the online event. 

               

              • How long will the on-demand content be available online after the event concludes?

              The on-demand content will be hosted for 30 days following the event.
