Toronto, Ontario, 8 April 2019—BICSI, the association advancing the information and communications technology (ICT) community, launched its inaugural ICT Canada—Presented by BICSI conference in the welcoming city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ICT professionals from all over the world began gathering at the Toronto Congress Centre for telecommunications industry focused Pre-Conference Seminars.
Session topics included smart building infrastructure, best practices for project estimation and management, the modern workspace and advanced AV system trends. A special pre-conference seminar and EduTour of the world-renowned and innovative intelligent building, Cisco Canada Headquarters, was also held.
The conference continues Tuesday with Opening Keynote Speaker Wes Johnston, CEO of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). He will share his insight on the future of ICT and impart his keen sense of how business, government and associations should work together to drive industry innovation. Technical education sessions will follow, presenting content on enterprise fiber networks, intelligent buildings, IoT, PoE and green building codes, among others, on the General Session Stage and on the new Tech Innovation Stage, which is located inside the Exhibit Hall.
The Exhibit Hall will also open on Tuesday with a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. and will feature nearly 45 exhibitors from innovative ICT companies in the business, demonstrating groundbreaking technologies and time-saving products and services.
