It has come to our attention that Silver State Convention Housing may be contacting you to solicit hotel reservations for the 2012 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition, September 16-20, in Anaheim, California. These emails will come from an individual with an email address ending in “@silversch.com” and may contain subject lines with phrases such as “BICSI Hotels, Anaheim, 9/16/12-9/20/12.”

We want you to be aware that Silver State Convention Housing has not been authorized to handle housing for us, and they are not affiliated with BICSI or the Fall Conference in any way.

These housing companies frequently misrepresent themselves by claiming to be the housing provider for a given conference or trade show. They will sometimes offer to get you cut-rate hotel accommodations and try to convince you that the offer is being made on behalf of the 2012 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition.

Please be advised that all housing for the Fall Conference is being handled exclusively through BICSI. No other company has access to the discounted room blocks at BICSI’s official hotels. Additionally, the only official information you will receive regarding conference hotel accommodations will always be sent directly from BICSI. Neither the Hilton Anaheim nor the Anaheim Marriott—the two official BICSI Fall Conference hotels—have arrangements with Silver State Convention Housing or any other travel company for the 2012 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition. Please know that guestrooms reserved for the conference via any method other than through official BICSI housing may not be at these conference hotels.

It is solely your decision whether or not to purchase services from non-official providers, but we encourage you to treat solicitations from these providers with appropriate caution. If you have made reservations or given any of your information to a non-official provider, you have done so at your own risk. BICSI will not be responsible for any actions or omissions of Silver State Convention Housing.

Finally, please be aware that BICSI takes your privacy very seriously and does not sell or rent your email address to any third parties.
