BICSI is a professional association supporting the information transport
systems (ITS) industry with information, education and knowledge assessment
for individuals and companies. BICSI serves more than 24,000 ITS professionals,
including designers, installers and technicians. These individuals provide
the fundamental infrastructure for telecommunications, audio/video, life

Guest/Spouse
Program
The Guest/Spouse Hospitality Lounge is open to registered guests/spouses
on Monday through Wednesday during the conference. Continental breakfast
is served Monday through Wednesday from 8-9 a.m. in the Guest/Spouse Hospitality
Lounge with special morning presentations on Monday and Tuesday.
You qualify as a registered guest/spouse if you are accompanying a registered
conference attendee and you are not in the information transport systems
industry. You must wear your guest badge for admission to the Guest/Spouse
Hospitality Lounge and the Evening Receptions and Exhibits.
BICSI Cares Presentation and Drawing
BICSI Cares, Inc. is a charity arm of BICSI, which collects donations
at each BICSI conference and gives 100 percent of the contributions to
a local children’s charity. The charity presentation will be held
on Wednesday morning, followed by a door prize drawing. Visit the BICSI
Cares booth at the conference for more information.

Computer kiosks and wireless access are available on site in the Stanley
Park Ballroom Foyer.
Attire
Most functions and events conducted by BICSI are informal, and business
casual attire is appropriate.
Name Badge
You must wear your badge to enter all conference functions. There will
be a $20 name badge remake fee on site for each lost badge.
Roster
If you are interested in knowing if a colleague has registered and signed
in for the Canada Conference, the roster will be available online at the
computer kiosks in the Cyber Lounge.
Smoking
The Westin Bayshore Vancouver is a smoke free environment. Should a guest
be found to have smoked in their room, there is a $250 de-fumigation charge.
CECs
The 2007 BICSI Canada Conference fulfills the conference attendance requirement
for RCDD® renewal. All RCDDs attending the Canada Conference will
receive 15 continuing education credits (CECs), provided they register
or check in on site by 3 p.m., local time, on Monday, March 5.
CECs for NTS, OSP and WD Specialty designations, ITS Installer 2 and
ITS Technician credentials will be based upon sessions attended. Check
the list below for the maximum possible number of CECs that may be earned
(based upon the sessions
attended and not counting the pre-conference seminars):

Be sure to provide
your member or Installer number on the registration form for ease in tracking
hours earned. The number of CECs awarded for the pre-conference seminars
is found on page 5. You must check in or register on site no later than
30 minutes after the seminar start-time to receive seminar CECs.
NOTE
RCDDs must check in or register on site by 3 p.m., local time, on Monday,
March 5, to receive Canada Conference CECs and to fulfill the conference
attendance requirement. CECs earned from the Canada Conference and/or
seminar attendance will appear on your transcript approximately 30 days
after the conference.
Registered Communications Distribution Designer
(RCDD®)
Throughout this announcement, there are participants’ names followed
by the RCDD designation. RCDD stands for Registered Communications Distribution
Designer. This designation indicates the person has demonstrated knowledge
in the design, integration and implementation of information transport systems
(voice, data, video, audio and other low-voltage systems) and their related
infrastructure components. |
